Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building repairs. You will be responsible for performing high-quality, timely repairs and maintenance to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our properties or client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform General Repairs: Carry out various repair tasks, including fixing broken fixtures, doors, windows, walls, floors, and furniture.
• Electrical Maintenance: Replace light fixtures, install new outlets, troubleshoot minor electrical issues, and ensure all work complies with safety standards.
• Plumbing Work: Repair and replace faucets, sinks, toilets, and pipes as needed; address minor plumbing issues to maintain functionality.
• Carpentry Tasks: Construct, install, or repair frameworks, partitions, shelving, and other wooden structures as required.
• Painting and Drywall: Patch holes, paint surfaces, and ensure a clean, professional finish on all paint jobs.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment and building systems are functioning correctly and address potential issues before they escalate.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and health guidelines and regulations while performing maintenance and repair tasks.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, tenants, or occupants, ensuring high-quality service and clear communication.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Handyman Technician, Maintenance Worker, or similar role.
• Strong skills in various repair and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
• Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices related to the job.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle a range of tasks.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients or supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in relevant maintenance fields (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
